What a pleasure this Ritz-Carlton Bacara portrait session was. The ease and refinement of the property mirrored the dynamic Sabrina and Dominic displayed throughout our time together.
As a couple, they exude a cool sense of energy that you would expect from a music producer and sound mixer. They met on a dating app and quickly agreed to meet for their first date (a Dodgers baseball game). Both consider themselves incredibly decisive. So when they immediately fell into a sense of comfort after that first date, they knew it was meant to be. Just 8 months after they met, they got engaged, and they were married by the end of the year.
Still in their first year of marriage, their session reflected a deeper sense of intimacy that typically comes with relationships that have had more time to mature. I quickly realized they had not fallen into the typical honeymoon phase that you would expect of newlyweds. Instead, they shared a deep sense of knowing and trusting each other, and a connection that ran across all dimensions. Their physical chemistry was undeniable though. Sabrina and Dominic couldn’t get enough of each other, even with the camera trained on them.
They were incredibly proud to showcase their wedding rings. During our shoot, I also came to learn about another special piece of jewelry. A few months prior, Sabrina had given Dominic a gold chain necklace with an “S” pendant on it for his birthday. She initially gave it to him as a bit of a tongue-in-cheek joke. But he loved it so much that he had worn it every day since.
