Kathryn and Raymon’s Sequoia Mansion wedding was over a decade in the making. The two are high school sweethearts who officially began dating at winter formal. Their long-awaited day was filled with a range of joyful emotions, from the excited teariness of their first look and private vows to the exuberance of calling each other husband and wife for the first time.
The couple opted to keep things intimate, and the guest count was limited to just 30 of their closest friends and family, all of whom made the trip from southern California to celebrate the bride and groom.
They chose Sequoia Mansion for their wedding because of the unique character of each of the venue’s spaces. Their ceremony took place in the veranda room, allowing guests to soak in the warmth of the sun. Many of their personal details drew inspiration from the dusty blue color of Sequoia Mansion’s exterior facade, but they chose to add an element of surprise by selecting vibrant blooms for their florals, as a much-needed touch of brightness during the typical dreariness of the winter season.
In line with their vision for a classic aesthetic, the groom wore a timeless black tuxedo. The bride’s Sophia Tolli gown featured interchangeable off-the-shoulder detailing. For the ceremony and portraits she opted for a voluminous puff, then later switched to a sleeker strap for dinner and dancing.
