Rosewood Miramar Beach Wedding – Camille & Scott

Camille and Scott’s intimate Rosewood Miramar Beach wedding was an elegant affair, designed to create a spectacular experience for their closest friends and family.

Camille and Scott met on a dating app, as many modern couples do. At the time, she lived in the Bay Area while he had settled in Los Angeles. She had her parameters set locally, but he had expanded after little luck with local matches. Camille didn’t have much on her profile, but Scott was taken in by her beautiful photo. His opening line involved asking if she’d be open to relocating for the right relationship. Intrigued by his bold approach, she entertained his efforts, though she was still apprehensive. He proved he was all in by making most of the trips up to go visit her.

Scott is originally from the greater Santa Barbara area, and when he was ready to propose he brought Camille to his hometown. As a couple, they agreed that returning to the area for their wedding day was the perfect central meeting point for all of their closest friends and family. The couple fell in love with the clean, classic styling of the Rosewood Miramar Beach. They had the help of Sheila of Event Solutions for planning and design. The colors of the wedding matched the clean black and white palette of the venue’s iconic spiral staircase.

The Details

The pair don’t love to be the center of attention. As such, they wanted their evening to feel more like a dinner party than a traditional reception. Guests enjoyed a seven-course meal in the Rosewood’s Manor House Study. Reception formalities were eschewed in favor of allowing the couple to mingle with their closest circle.

Scott’s family operates a local flower nursery, and floral elements were incredibly important to the couple. Camille’s vision for the day included bountiful white blooms. They created a runway-style seating arrangement for the ceremony, to ensure all of their guests would have a good view. The aisle was lined with lush arrangements of white flowers, creating a striking visual impact that still felt refined. For their reception tablescapes, they placed hundreds of white ranunculuses in their own single-stem vases along the long dinner tables.

Rosewood Miramar Beach Wedding Review

I loved capturing these special moments for Camille and Scott. I felt truly humbled by these kind words Camille shared:

Having Leslie as our photographer was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding. Her great eye, understanding of light, and authentic desire to document love by means of photography has given us beautiful, quality images that we’ll cherish for years to come.

Leslie was awesome to collaborate with, as she took the time to get to know us as a couple and understand what details were important to us to capture. She worked with our wedding planner to ensure things would flow smoothly, including being cognizant of sticking to our timeline throughout our wedding day. She is professional and pleasant to work with, as she has a calm and friendly yet unobtrusive demeanor that makes taking pictures with her easy (and our guests agreed as well). Choosing the right photographer is such an important wedding decision since photos are one of the few ways that valued memories are preserved, and we are so appreciative that we had Leslie as ours.
