The wildflowers were in full bloom for Carly & Alex’s Douglas Preserve engagement session. The couple met three years ago. They are both police officers and met at work, though Carly had always said she wouldn’t date a coworker. After a few friendly conversations at work, Alex eventually slid into her DMs.
The couple are very big into the outdoors and got engaged on a special RV trip to Yellowstone. She was not expecting the proposal to happen on the trip. She had always said that she wanted to bring a special bottle of wine with them when they got engaged, and she saw that it was still in the cabinet when they finished packing for the trip. Little did she know that Alex doubled-back to hide it in his bag so she would be completely surprised. According to Carly, Alex has always been incredibly thoughtful and great with details throughout their relationship.
Their Douglas Preserve engagement session reflected the couple’s easy-going style and love of nature. They are an incredibly sweet pair, and I can’t wait to work with them again for their Los Olivos wedding, alongside their planner Dina from On the Bride’s Side.
