Nestled in the fields of Santa Paula’s agricultural hub is Tuscan Rose Ranch. The thoughtfully-designed wedding venue in Ventura County is easily accessible from Highway 126.
The owner, Albert Castaneda, had his first full introduction to the wedding industry when he opened his floral business Stemmed Floral Design, though he has always been immersed in the floral world. His family operates a wholesale flower business, which continues to operate in the background of his new venue.
His aim was to bring a cohesive, simple design to the space that would still create an impact. The grounds are inspired by the Italian countryside, and you feel instantly transported the moment you step onsite.
Venue Details
Tuscan Rose Ranch can accommodate up to 250 guests for weddings and events. The rental fee includes use of the grounds for up to 8 hours. The minimum guest count is 100 on Sunday-Friday and 120 for Saturday events.
The fully outdoor space makes the most of Ventura County’s temperate climate and a curated mix of 500 lavender plants, 400 rose bushes, along with rosemary and lavender proliferate the space.
The venue’s layout has a sense of flow across the three distinct event spaces that makes sense for guests.
Upon entering the iron gates to the property, guests are welcomed by the roundabout entryway and antique fountain. The property features two getting ready suites, perfect for final touch-ups before the ceremony. Continuing along the path brings us to the ceremony lawn, which Castaneda created with options in mind. Couples may choose to have their ceremony set against the tall Italian cypresses, or they can select the alternative by rotating 180 degrees. For couples opting to host a reception-only event, this lawn can be an option for a smaller reception.
The cocktail hour area is in an adjacent area. Trees each surrounded by a crown of lavender help fill the space while still allowing it to feel open. The crunch of the gravel underfoot further lends itself to the feeling of being transported to the Italian countryside.
Guests pass through another gate to enter the main reception lawn. Market lighting is hung across the lawn to provide warm, ambient light as the reception enters the evening hours. Per city ordinance, receptions may last until 11:00pm.
The lavender fields in the front corners of the venue provide an idyllic setting for newlywed portraits. Throughout the property, stone benches and seating areas create intimate settings that are perfect nooks for creating romantic imagery.
Tuscan Rose Ranch Vendors
Tuscan Rose Ranch exclusively partners with DJ’s California Catering for all events. Their packages also include luxury rentals for linens, china, glassware, and silverware, tables and chairs. Couples are required to bring in their own day-of coordinator. Couples may bring in any other vendors of their choosing for other rental options and other vendor categories, provided they have the appropriate business licenses and insurance.
In addition to serving as the owner of Tuscan Rose Ranch, Castaneda also owns and operates Stemmed Floral Design. He offers his floral services to couples who celebrate their weddings onsite.
