Santa Clara Catholic Church Wedding

Mayra & Miguel’s wedding at Santa Clara Catholic Church was the culmination of over a decade of growth as a couple. Their wedding date was thoughtfully chosen, as the weekend aligned with their 11-year dating anniversary.

The gap between their Catholic ceremony and their Sterling Hills reception gave us ample time for portraits. For their romantic portraits, Mayra & Miguel opted to return to the same place where we had taken their engagement photos last year. It was special to once again create new memories at a long-cherished location. You could clearly see the joy on their faces as we took their first photos as husband and wife.

The toasts given during the evening were full of emotion, as those close to the couple shared stories of their close bonds. Mayra’s maid of honor recounted how the two were destined to be best friends from birth, even sharing the same name. She spoke of her fierce loyalty and protective nature, and how she realized Miguel was someone special when he was able to successfully get her out on the dance floor. Miguel’s brother opened up about past hardships and health scares, and how grateful he was for Miguel and also Mayra during those times. As spoke, there was not a dry eye in the room.

Mayra and Miguel’s wedding was truly a day about family, and it was clear to everyone how much these two value all of the relationships in their life. It was an honor to get to capture this celebration of the next stage of their relationship together.
