Long weekends are meant to be spent doing something you love. For some that could mean barbecuing, hanging out at home, or going on a weekend getaway. For me, my ideal weekend includes photographing the sweetest couples with some killer views. So the two hours I got to spend with Connor and Christine taking their beach engagement photos in Carpinteria was pure bliss. Not only did we get the most beautiful cotton-candy skies, but they’re just really fun people to be around.

Their dynamic is so fun and easy. It’s crazy to think that there was ever a chance that they might not have been a couple. Though they’ve been together for three years, a mutual friend had actually been trying to get them to meet for YEARS! It was only after a “chance” meeting at an Anaheim Ducks hockey game that they finally met up. That first meeting went so well, they went to another Ducks game for their official first date!

While their love for the same hockey team was the first point of connection, they found lots of other shared interests. They are both high school math teachers, and they enjoy hitting the driving range together. Really, any time spent together is a good time.

Christine and Connor, I had so much fun running along the beach with the two of you! Yours is an easy kind of love, and it was so fun to capture on camera. I can’t wait to get you back in front of my camera for your Pacific View Tower wedding!

Passionate about turning your most heartfelt moments into your legacy of love

When I was first getting to know my husband, Michael's, family, I loved hearing the stories of their marriages— the good times and bad, better and worse, joy as well as sorrow, and always love. But the very first time I saw his grandmother’s collection of family wedding photos perched atop her mantel I had to stop and take in what over 200 years of marriage looked like on display. As I looked on at the images framed on the mantel, immediately all of the stories shared by Michael’s grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins came rushing through my head, and it was so easy to trace them all back to the days they said “I do.” In my role as a wedding photographer, I capture all of the raw emotions of your big day, so when you look back at those images you are reminded of the fullness in your heart and you can see how that first day of marriage created a legacy of love.
